Who is She? Dae West Anytime, anyplace, I know she gave me life. I love her like no other. She can be trusted with My life, and I would gladly do so. When there is a question, Joy, fear or end. She is my first and last thought. I need her, love her, Would protect her With my life from any harm. She is the original, I am a copy. Yet, I am the original for me; Later mine with be a copy. I owe God and her all; Well the first part at least. My admiration, respect and love Cannot be fully expressed Or understood. She is my mother.

When I Shall Wear Purple

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple
With a red hat that doesn't go and doesn't suit me,
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I am tired
And gobble up samples in the shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit...
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old and start to wear purple.
